Day 6-9

Day 06

On this day left Northpoint at 6:30 in the morning to travel to tempe to visit two colleges then travel to Los Angeles. The two colleges we went to in Tempe were ASU and ITT Tech. ASU was a very big campus that normally during the school year as I think 50,000 students. I really don't think I will go to ASU because it is to big of a college for me.

After ASU we went to ITT tech and learned about all the different degrees they offer which are Draft and Design, Electronics, Technology, and Criminal Justice. I could see myself going to ITT Tech but I already know what college I want to go to which is NAU-Yavapia and Yavapia

Day 07

Today we wen to two colleges again and they were Whittier College and FIDM. At Whittier they only except 1,500 students but their campus is 75 acres which is way to big for me. They are a liberal arts college and I think that that is really cool. I would might consider Whittier College if I were planning to go out of state. We then went to FIDM I didn't really like it all because it held none of my interests.

Day 08

Today we went to Ottis which is a private art college in L.A. We went there to see the housing and they are amazing. The housing is in a gated apartment complex and the rooms are really cool. They don't just house students other people live there too. They also have their own gym and swimming pool/hot tub.

We then went to the beach to talk to a guy who owns his own surf board making business and he talked to us about what it takes to own your own business.

Next we drove to Cal State (California State) to look at more housing and again they were apartment but they were on campus and only for students.

Day 09

We went home.

Day 6

On the sixth day we visited Yavapia college in Prescott Valley which I think just offers a Associative in applied Science in Administrative Justice which is the field I want to go into.

We also went to NAU-Yavapia which is another college in Prescott Valley next to the public library. The offer three bachelors degrees; they are Human Behavior, Entrepreneurship, Service Industry Management, and Community Development and Sustainability. If I were to go to NAU-Yavapia I would want to get a bachelors degree in Human Behavior.

Day 5

Today we had a reading circle on the book called Bless Me, Ultima and one of the questions my teacher told us to think and blog about would be how does your religion affect how you think things happen.

My religion is Christianity/Judaism and I do believe in God. Some aspects of my religion I don't believe in. I believe that things happen for a reason wether it be God or human caused.

Day 4

Today was my informational interview and Sergeant Bonney came to Northpoint and talked to me and a fellow student about what it is like to be a police officer. I enjoyed him coming to talk to me because I have wanted to be in Law Enforcement since I was a little kid.

Mission Statement

My mission statement is to Serve and Protect, to Help Others in need. To remain laid back, humorous, and honest to my family, friends, and myself. To remember that everyone is capable of anything. Always remember where and what I came from and went through.

What is important to my college decision making process?

Something that is important to my college decision making process is how large the student body and campus is because I don't like big student bodies or big campuses. Another important aspect would be what are the rules and what are the students like, and what type of degrees do they offer.

Day 2

Today in intensives we learned about the age old question Nature vs. Nurture. In my opinion there is a combination of both and that it is also different for each person. Some people there nurture over rules their nature and in others their nature over rules their nurture. In my life my father was not apart of my life for nine years and we are exactly alike, my grandma say we could be twins.
